  Upon originally entering the store we were followed and initially treated somewhat rudely, which prompted me to ask if they had many thefts there, and was told, "no, but many people damage the costumes from handling them". Understandable, the visit became a little less invasive after that. We actually had a positive experience for the rest of the visit. So much so that I offered to give them some vintage jackets upon the pickup of my wife's rental. I just picked up a "flapper girl" rental for my wife, unbelievably rude customer service! I was told by my wife that a cigarette holder would be included for the price of the one night rental ($135)! When I enquired about it I was told that it would be an additional $20... Ok, but my wife explicitly said it was included! At this point I informed her (as she obviously didn't recognize me from our previous visit) that I was the guy that was going to "give" them some jackets (previously, she had stated our next rental would be free). I wasn't asking for anything in return for the jackets, just a gesture of kindness on my part, due to them being too small for me... at that point I really didn't feel so charitable anymore, so I offered to just pay for the cigarette holder... Enter Marty, he comes storming onto the scene accusing me of trying to get something for free and he knows my kind! LOL! MY KIND?? He says, "you must be from New York!" Whatever THAT means! I was asking for nothing that wasn't promised!! Then I was told my jackets were too small! He never even seen them!! I said, "too small"? 2 size 40s and one 42? He then pulls out a cigarette holder and a box of fake cigarettes and says "HERE, TAKE THEM"!! We don't need your business!" and proceeds to put the rental I paid for away! I say, "I've already paid for that!" He brings it back, I take the rental and then the woman says, "so I don't get the jackets?" UNBELIEVABLE!!! I just looked at her and said.."well, no, I'll throw them on EBay and make $300"... this just happened so I had to write this review while it was fresh in my mind! I dread bringing the costume back, but will DEFINITELY NOT subject my wife to these people alone!! AND just so I'm not accused of LYING about the jackets (as was insinuated), I've included photos of the jackets I WAS going to give them, as well as my private collection, to prove I didn't need them, and WAS NOT asking for a handout!! UPDATE! All of your bad reviews couldn't be drunkards! You are a clown that has no business sense! How you've been in business this long is a miracle! You are probably the alcoholic, which would explain your irrational behavior! Not only are you probably a drunk, but you are also delusional, as was evident by your appearance on Pawn Stars, trying to sell one of your crappy costumes for thousands of dollars! Rick offered you more than it was worth, but in your delusional state, you wouldn't even make the deal!! Nice going!!! LMAO!!! As far as me not going in with my wife, it was intentional! After reading your reviews and seeing the ridiculous charges that were incurred by other customers upon returning the costume, we decided to have her go in alone and over compliment your services, so as not to have you take your anger out on us!! LOL! Not too hard to stay one step ahead of you, Marty!! Probably because you are a drunk!!!

  This place has a lot of custom costumes and rentals but 2/3 staff member who were working on 10/23/2017 were absolutely rude. I asked the price of two costumes to the heavier set guy and he said “I don’t know the prices on anything ask the man up front” I thought it was weird seeing that he worked there and didn’t know the prices. I then asked what the average price on costumes in the store would be and he rolled his eyes and said “really?! I just told you I don’t know and to ask someone else”. I really liked the costumes so I figured I would ask the prices to the man up front. When I did the guy said $80 I asked if there was anything similar that was a bit cheaper. He said “ yeah right! Your in the wrong damn store” and then walked away to another customer. The lady that was working must have seen this because she walked quickly up to us and said sorry I guess no one wants to help you and proceeded to be very helpful. We left though of course. Very rude staff except for the older lady. I would suggest going elsewhere for your costume needs.
