  I had an existing Control4 home automation system that was very buggy, turning lights on in the middle of the night when I was asleep, and no one could find any programming issue to explain this. I spoke to Thomas at Audio Visual Solutions who stated that the new EA-5 controller may help and was faster than the existing HC-800 that I had installed. When they finally installed the new EA-5 controller, they left in the old HC-800 in my system which made no sense to me if it were slower and was contributing to bugs in the system. After the installation of the new controller, I had multiple other issues with the Control4 system and called and texted Thomas multiple time, and got no reply. So they were happy to sell me new equipment, but unavailable to service it once installed. Not happy with this and will not use them again. P.S. I do not see ANY performance improvement either; feel like I wasted a couple grand in this "upgrade," with no benefit.
