  Good for hammers, lousy for appliances. Here's my online ordering experience for a refrigerator; draw your own conclusion. Placed an online order for a Whirlpool fridge on their website. Cancelled my order BEFORE delivery due to dimensions of fridge and my doorway. It took 4 phone calls to various phone numbers to find a competent clerk who could perform the transaction. Was assured refund charge would appear within 7 days on my credit card. To date, 12 days and counting, no refund. Called yesterday and was told they didn't enter manufacturer's code in system. Should see refund in another 3 days. So .... be aware that Home Depot's policy seems to be to hold on to your funds for as long as possible to draw interest for their use. Their MO: build in delays by design into their procedures to create obstacles to releasing refunds. Borderline unethical.

  Brought my kids in to do the monthly project and they had a great time. We eneded up shopping for items afterwards. There was a great selection and the store was clean.
